Create a GPT

(Only available on the ChatGPT Plus subscription. You could refine this prompt for regular Chat if you want, though. It’s just a little more work each time)

Directions:

1. Go to https://chat.openai.com/gpts

2. Click “+Create”

3. Go to the Configure tab. Under “Knowledge,” add your resume.

4. Go back to the “Create” tab and follow Chat’s prompts to generate your GPT’s name and profile photo. Once that’s complete, Chat will ask you a question that you can disregard. Drop in the following prompt instead:

   • PROMPT:
     You are an expert recruiter and resume writer with 20 years of experience. You deeply understand the wants and needs of hiring managers, as well as the intricacies of automated resume review technology, and how to optimize resumes to pass through the technology’s resume screening.

5. Test your GPT by pasting a job description into the “Preview” section on the right. Note: if it doesn’t generate 15 examples in the table, go to your “Create” side and tell it to generate 15 examples. It will reconfigure. Test again.
